| Information | Inspired by a dear friend who was always the "artistic one," I wanted to explore my own capabilities, specifically with photography. I am still learning but have grown a lot. I wish I could pursue photography as a career, but I have other plans right now. My hope is to someday own a greeting card/stationary/photography gallery/shop.
I enjoy beautiful things, anything that is aesthetically pleasing. My aim with my work is to allow others to see the beauty found all around us. I have been fortunate enough to live in two very beautiful places, France and Washington State, USA.
What I love to capture the most includes NATURE (landscapes, waterscapes, sunsets, flowers, etc.), and STILL LIFE (close ups/macro, random objects, food, etc.). But I am open to all things and have done portraits to architecture to abstract pieces. My wish is for someone to look at my piece and think "How beautiful, I want to hang this on my living room wall." My hope is that my work can be enjoyed by people with all kinds of taste.
I love color, I love black & white. I love poster/panoramics, I love square format. Most of my photography was made using a Konika Minolta DiMAGE Z3, a camera I will always love to use and will cherish it forever. I have recently upgraded to a DSLR in hopes of continuing to learn and grow as a photographer; I have yet to experiment with my new love, a Nikon D40x. I am too poor to afford anything other than Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 for any post work, but it serves me well for what I do. I am not big into photomanipulation anyway. I believe in the integrity of a photograph being as real as the original thing.
Other interests of mine include music and singing, spending time with my family and friends, traveling, meeting new people, a good conversation, baked goods, and my camera.
Thank you for stopping by and taking interest in my work! | |
